A little work on the zuki

Bought and installed the Clean up your backside kit and LED rear signal lights from Pro Cycle.  Based on  Pro Cycle's suggestions for LED lights, I put resisters in line of each rear turn signal to ensure that the signal relay trips.  Without them the signals flash faster than stock, but upon installation of the resistors, I found the resistors got hot enough to burn your fingers and probably melt plastic if the signals were turned on too long.  So I removed them and will live with faster signals, it's not that bad.  I intend to email Pro Cycle to let them know.  Maybe I will get a refund for the resistors.

The main purpose for the LED signals was to locate them NOT on the grab bars or rack.  I purchased a Moose rear rack last fall and found that it was necessary to put the lights on the stock grab bars of which I did not have.  To buy those would have cost me more than the lights and resistors combined.  Once I found where there was enough room for the under fender lock nut, the signals are now next to the new tail light.

I started Saturday and got rudely interrupted by my garage door falling apart, again!  So had to take time out to fix that more permanently.  I finished up this morning with both successfully.  I believe the garage might last longer than the bike this time!  Only one could hope.

For those wondering about the garage door:

Yeah, the hinge looks crooked, but it works way better than the last fix.  It does not look like much but the upper middle support was completely separated from the door, plus both sections were cracked all the way through to the front side of the door.  With about 50 bucks of aluminum angle, flat pieces, pop rivets, it works almost like new.  Crises averted, for a few months anyway......
