Friday Evening Road Trip to the Schnepel Ranch

Parked at Woodlands Camp Resort Little Sioux IA. Friday night, we made a last minute decision to take a ride to a friends new getaway spot they had recently purchased. The campground is a nice kept, older resort that was built on the Missouri river in the late 70's. There is even river access next to campground provided by the Iowa DNR. On the trip up it was about 73 degrees, a light breeze was behind us and we took back roads so it was perfect. We hung out for a few beers and then headed back after dark. We stuck to the interstate on the way back so bigger vehicles would scare or clear any deer out for us. What a perfect way to end the work week.

Sunday Morning Breakfast Ride

What a perfect morning, no wind and about 55-60 degrees. We left around 8AM and ate breakfast at a place in Tekamah. I forgot the name but it was very good. I will find the name and post it. The route to Tekamah took us out of Elkhorn towards Elk City and followed that road all the way North to county road 4 were we headed east into Herman and then 75 north to Tekamah. From there we went up to Decatur and over to Iowa where we hit too many roads to describe. All together it was probably around 150 or so miles and arrived back at home just in time to see it rain. Just right.
